If you want to get back into playing over-the-board chess there are two nice clubs on the southwest side. In the Oak Lawn Community Center on Fridays, called the South Suburband Chess Club and at a 63rd St. and Central restaurant called A Place For Us which meets on Saturdays during the day, called Midway Chess Club.
